I experimented with the concept mapping software VUE . Not only is concept mapping useful to visualize a landscape of ideas, literally mapping geographies of stuff you know or stuff you need to know, but VUE adds the aspect of making it a hyperlinked document. You can export your maps as jpegs, or as html. With html you could use the map nodes as hyperlinked gateways to all sorts of links, video, etc. There are also ways to view and animate the map in that you can layer maps, navigate maps, and expand nodes in the maps.
It's a great idea to use VUE in this way. I'd love to see a "document" you make with this, if you get around to it!
